Syndication and Feeds On the Web Internet
A web feed is a lightweight mechanism used to provide users with details of updated content on the web. Content distributors provide web feeds with their content (know as syndication), and users can then monitor the feeds for changes or use the supplied content in other ways (known as subscribing).
