Wiki is short for WikiWiki, which means quick or hurry in Hawaiian Creole. Inventor: Ward Cunningham, of Cunningham & Cunningham, Inc. Wikis were originally invented, and propagated, in the open source community, but some newer variants have closed source features and versions.
