Vertigo is not a disease. It is a symptom of a disorder within the inner ear system that disturbs balance. Feelings associated with vertigo include dizziness, whirling, spinning, or unsteadiness. Subjective vertigo is the sensation of spinning; objective vertigo is when objects seem to be moving or spinning.
