Ghazal Music Arts and Entertainment South Asia RegionsGhazal, literally meaning "talking to women" in Arabic, is a poetic genre used to express romantic themes in much of Asia, in languages ranging from Arabic and Persian to Urdu and Sindhi. Ghazals are sung with musical accompaniments, as well as recited in gatherings. Famous poets of Ghazal include Sa'di, Rumi, Amir Khusro, and Ghalib, among others, including many modern ones.
