Goon Show, The Programmes and Presenters Radio Arts and Entertainment United Kingdom
The Goon Show was broadcast on BBC Radio from 1951 to 1960. It was mainly written by Spike Milligan and starred Milligan, Peter Sellers and Harry Secombe. Enormously popular, it helped pave the way for a generation of British comedy, including Monty Python.
