Seaham County Durham England United KingdomSeahamSituated on the east coast, this old Anglo Saxon settlement grew to prominence in the early 1800's as a result of the harbour construction. Coal mining came to the area, with the first shaft being sunk in the 1852. The mines were closed in the 1980's. The town is located within the Easington District Council.
