Sites uniquely relevant to the village of New Abbey, seven miles south of Dumfries. This locality includes the rural area to Gillfoot in the north, Kinharvie to the west, Kirkbean to the south, and the coast line to include Kirkonnell and Shambellie Grange.This locality is governed by the New Abbey Community Council, within the political ward of Criffel, in the old county of Kirkcudbrightshire.
