Millets Cereals Field Crops Agriculture


The term millet includes a group of grasses grown in semi arid condition for grain. They include the foxtail, pearl, proso, browntop and finger millets. The grass genera involved are Setaria, Panicum, Pennisetum, Echinochloa, Eragrostis, and possibly others.
