Micropaleontology

Micropaleontology is the study of microscopic remains of ancient life. Such marine micro-organisms as diatoms, dinoflagellates, foraminifera, silicoflagellates, and radiolarians all have very good fossil record. Plant pollen also has an extensive microfossil record.
