Pragmatics Linguistics Social SciencesPragmatics is the study of how the arrangement of words and phrases can alter the meaning of a sentence. It includes the study of the speaker's meaning, the study of the meaning in its context, the study of what is implied, though not explicitly expressed, and the study of the distance between speakers viewpoints in order to understand what determines the choice of what is said and what is not said.
