Easter Eggs Ukrainian European

Ukrainian Easter eggs are called "pysanky," singular -"pysanka" meaning "things that are written upon." They are not painted, but rather produced by a complex wax-resistant dying process. The symbols and colors have special meaning. Designs can be very simple or extremely detailed.
