Widows

Once upon a time widows might have been sacrificed with their deceased husband, expected to wear black and live quietly indoors for the rest of their days. It wasn't pleasant, no wonder the black clothes were called widow's weeds and the women themselves were referred to as crows. Things have changed a lot, for the better. Now a widow can expect to live life to the fullest. But first she will still need a little time to build herself up again and make new plans.
