Shortly, Independent Baptists are those Bible-believing Baptists that depend only on God. Independent Baptists believe their only head is the Lord Jesus Christ and only headquarters is in heaven. Such churches govern themselves using the Bible as the only authority. Hence, a local church elects its own officials and votes which missionaries to support.
