The Evangelical Congregational Church was formed in 1922 when some members of the United Evangelical Church voted against reunion with the Evangelical Association. The Evangelical Congregational Church is found almost exclusively in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Illinois, although they do place emphasis on evangelism.
