Ball, Cornelius B Players People


Cornelius "Neal" Ball was born on April 22, 1881 in Grand Haven, Michigan. He was a Major League baseball player who was the first in history to complete an unassisted triple play in a July 19, 1909 game with the Red Sox. During the same game, he set another major league record for shortstops. His glove from that game is on exhibit at the Baseball Hall of Fame.He died on October 15, 1957 in Bridgeport, Connecticut as is buried there in the Mountain Grove Cemetery.
