Martina Navratilova was born on October 18, 1956 in Prague, Czech Republic. She played on the WTA Tennis tour for 22 consecutive years from 1973 to 1994 and still competes in (as of 2001) select Sanex WTA Tour events, Women's Sports Legends events and in World Team Tennis.
