Lanier, Nicholas Composers Composition Music


Baroque composer Nicholas Lanier (1588-1666; also Lanière or Laneer) was the first man named "Master of the King's Musick" in 1626. An accomplished poet, scholars believe he wrote many of the texts for his songs.
