Graduate Studies and Research Departments and Programs University of Saskatchewan
The College was formed at the University of Saskatchewan in 1946 as the College of Graduate Studies. Our first Dean was Dr. T. Thorvaldson. In 1971 the College was renamed the College of Graduate Studies and Research. The College's mission is to define and support excellence in graduate education, and the research and scholarly activities associated with it.
