The Yale Institute of Sacred Music is a gateway to two professional schools, the Yale School of Music and of Yale Divinity School, where the art of music is studied in the context of liturgy and the liturgical arts. A direct offspring of the School of Sacred Music at Union Seminary in New York City, the Institute came to Yale in 1972-73.
