Sitcom following the second-childhood adventures of three old codgers, one-time school chums now retired, as they wonder about their West Yorkshire village and the surrounding countryside conversing idly and usually getting into trouble. Starring Bill Owen (series 1-21), Peter Sallis, Michael Bates (series 1 & 2), Brian Wilde (series 3-8 & 12-18) and Michael Aldridge (Jan 1986 special to series 11). Written by Roy Clarke. First broadcast on BBC1 in November 1973.
