Barlow, John Perry

John Perry Barlow is a retired Wyoming rancher and former lyricist for the Grateful Dead. He cowrote songs with the band from 1971 until 1995 when Jerry Garcia died and they disbanded. In 2000, Barlow helped start Bridges.Org to assist people in developing countries use technology - to bridge the digital divide. He is also a Fellow at Harvard Law School's Berkman Center for Internet and Society.
