Western Rite Holy Catholic Church Autocephalous Churches Not in Communion with Rome Catholicism Denominations ChristianityWestern Rite The Holy Catholic Church (Western Rite) began in 1983 when a parish near Stoke on Trent broke away from the Church of England. For a time they worked in concert with the Continuing Church movement in America. Although this church body still has Anglican-style worship and terminology, in matters of doctrine they increasingly wish to witness to the Catholic faith held by the undivided Church.
